Salons allow the community to come together in between the main TEDx events. Each salon features previous TED/TEDx talk videos and periods of discussion to spark new ideas and talk about issues of interest with one’s peers.

Salon 1 was held on October 19th in MSC 2406 from 3-5pm.
This salon will covered how to give a keynote speech, more specifically, how to give a TEDx talk and what it entails. A previous TED or TEDx talk will be shown relating to public speaking. The floor will then be opened to discussion. Following this, detailed explanations of TEDx guidelines, speaker requirements, and relevant information will be given. Finally, a past speaker will be present for a Q&A session.

Salon 2 was held on December 2nd, 2025.
This salon covered how to prepare for final exams. This will be the most simple of the salons, offering time to watch two previous TED talks, have a discussion, and then snack to gear up for the upcoming finals season.

Salon 3 is planned for April 26, 2026 on campus.
